Corporate Sustainability Leadership & Change Management

Our course curriculum is currently in development and will cover the following topics:

Get started: introduction to change management and leading beyond authority with a keynote speaker. Begin building your influence roadmap & peer network.

Identify your internal dream team: Learn best practice for cross-departmental sustainability team building. Identify key people in each department & plan engagement strategies.

Build a business case: get leadership on board in a language they understand to lock real commitment. Learn how to integrate sustainability into rapidly changing environments, and get best practice insights from practitioners who have successfully done it themselves.

Design & implement sustainability / impact / non-financial KPIs: Learn how to reduce your workload & speed up tasks like data collection by sharing responsibility across teams and embedding sustainability in every department. Includes practical toolkit on designing impact KPIs, with best practice case studies and templates per department.

Lock real commitment w/ key people & leaders: Best practices for running effective 1-on-1 sessions including formats, skills, and styles that work. Learn how to navigate cultural differences to sustainability and develop effective communication skills to get everyone engaged through pitch training.

Secure cross-departmental buy-in: align all sustainability functions with business & functional goals, craft compelling invitations and learn early tactics to involve and engage others from the start, build momentum and develop meaningful integration for the long run.

Tackle resistance & blockers: systems thinking training for complex blockers, conflict resolution tactics, tricky conversation & negotiation training.

Grow company-wide engagement: how to build general sustainability knowledge across the company, plus ideation and exchange on how to foster internal community around sustainability including how to run team workshops & case study success stories from our community.

Sustain yourself & your team for the road ahead: further tools & resources to build your leadership skills as well as personal and team resilience via inspirational practitioners.
